"I contacted Andy for a roof leak, which of course was during a rainstorm. He responded quickly, returned before the next round of rain and fixed our problem before any more damage was done, for a VERY reasonable price. He did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it."

Emergency roof repair, without the panic
I'm Andy Johnson, owner of White Leaf Roofing. When a monsoon or haboob rips through the East Valley, you don't need a call center or a storm-chaser. You need a local roofer who picks up. Call or text me directly. Active leaks go to the front of the line.
Fast response across Chandler, Gilbert, Queen Creek, Sun Lakes, Gold Canyon and Mesa.
Leaking right now?
Do these four things first
Contain the water
Move furniture and valuables, put buckets under drips, and lay towels. If a ceiling bubble is forming, relieve it carefully with a small hole so the drywall doesn't come down at once.
Stay off the roof
A wet roof, especially steep or tile, is genuinely dangerous. Even I wait for a roof to dry before walking it. Photos from the ground are all I need to start.
Document everything
Photos of the damage inside and out, with timestamps. It helps me diagnose fast and it matters later if this becomes an insurance claim.
Call or text me
480-363-2898 reaches me, not a call center. Send the photos and I'll tell you what to do right now, and get you on the schedule.

Monsoons, haboobs and hail
What Arizona storms do to a roof
Every summer, roughly June through September, monsoon season throws high winds, driving rain, hail and haboobs at East Valley roofs. Strong winds lift and crack tiles, tear shingles and flashing, and heavy rain finds every weak spot in aging underlayment. Haboob dust and debris clog gutters and valleys so the next storm's water has nowhere to go.
The tricky part: storm damage often isn't visible from the ground, and it may not leak until the next rain. A cracked tile or lifted flashing can sit quietly for weeks, letting small amounts of water weaken the decking underneath. By the time a stain shows on the ceiling, the damage has been working for a while.
That's why the free post-storm inspection matters. I do a full walk-around, check the field, flashing, valleys and gutters, and give you an honest damage report. If your roof came through fine, I'll tell you that and you can stop worrying. If it didn't, we fix it fast, and temporary tarping keeps water out until permanent repairs happen.

Broken or Slipped Tiles
Cracked, lifted or missing tiles are the most common haboob souvenir. Each one leaves the underlayment beneath exposed to sun and the next rain.

I'll help with the claim, honestly
Storm damage repairs are often covered by homeowners insurance, but the claims process is a headache to navigate while your roof is leaking. Here's how I help: I inspect and document the damage thoroughly, provide a detailed report with photos and repair costs, and communicate with your insurance company so the process goes as smoothly as it can.
And here's the honest part: if the damage doesn't warrant a claim, I'll tell you that too. Filing a marginal claim can cost you more in premiums than the repair itself. I'd rather fix a few tiles for a fair price than talk you into a claim you don't need. The full walkthrough is on the insurance claims page.
Storm repairs are bid the same way as everything else, and most repairs run $500 to $3,500. No storm-chaser pricing, no fake urgency. Just a local roofer ten minutes away who's seen 25 years of Arizona weather.

Fast, when it mattered
"We called around to about 10 different places in the East Valley. They were all 2 to 3 times more expensive than White Leaf and were going to take a few weeks. White Leaf came out the next day and charged less!"
Andee Waldie Next-day roof repair"Andy was the only one who diagnosed my roof correctly. He was the most thorough, gave us the most choices, and he was extremely reasonable."

Asked after every monsoon
My roof is leaking right now. What should I do?
Move belongings, catch the water in buckets, and if a ceiling bubble is forming, relieve it carefully with a small hole so the drywall doesn't collapse at once. Then call or text me at 480-363-2898 with a photo. Do not climb on a wet roof. The full guide is here: what to do if your roof is leaking.
How fast can you respond to storm damage?
Active leaks and storm damage go to the front of the line, often same or next day. If the roof is too wet to walk safely, I assess what I can immediately and return the moment it dries, before the next round of rain when possible. That's exactly how Matthew Crandle's leak got handled.
Can a haboob really damage a roof?
Yes. Haboob winds lift and crack tiles, tear at shingles and flashing, and drive dust and debris into every gap. The damage often isn't visible from the ground and doesn't leak until the next rain, which is why a free walk-around inspection after a big storm is worth doing.
Will my insurance cover storm damage roof repairs?
In many cases, yes. I document the damage with photos and a detailed report, and help you communicate with your insurance company. If the damage doesn't warrant a claim, I'll tell you that too. Details on the insurance claims page.
Can you protect my roof before permanent repairs?
Yes. When a roof needs time before permanent repair, temporary protection like tarping keeps water out so the damage doesn't spread while the real fix gets scheduled.
How much do emergency roof repairs cost?
Most repairs run $500 to $3,500 depending on the damage, and storm repairs are bid the same honest way as everything else. Past about $3,500 a replacement usually makes more sense. The inspection is free and I do it personally.
