Local knowledge

Roofs from every era, one exposure

Apache Junction sits at the foot of the Superstition Mountains, off US 60 where the Valley runs out and the open desert takes over. The exposure out here is the same one Gold Canyon gets: relentless sun, monsoon wind crossing open desert with nothing to slow it, and haboob dust working into every seam.

What makes Apache Junction different is the housing itself. This town wasn't built in one decade. Established neighborhoods from the 1970s through the 90s sit alongside newer builds, so on one street I'll see concrete tile, aged shingle, and flat or foam sections on the older homes. Each of those ages differently under the same sun, and each one gets repaired or replaced differently.

On the tile roofs, the tiles usually outlive the felt beneath them, so a lot of my Apache Junction work is tile underlayment replacement: lift your existing tiles, replace the failed felt, relay the same tiles. On the older shingle and flat roofs, honest work starts with knowing what era of material I'm standing on.

And about the distance: Apache Junction is a longer drive from Chandler, and I come out personally anyway. Ballpark by phone or text if you want one first, then I walk the roof myself and go over what I find with you face to face. Same free inspection I'd give a neighbor down the street.

"We were forced to replace our 20 year old roof. Andy offered us several underlayment options, as well as samples for us to compare. I liked that I was able to choose the product and price point that suited our needs. He was here everyday."

"I contacted Andy for a roof leak, which of course was during a rainstorm. He responded quickly and fixed our problem before any more damage was done, for a VERY reasonable price."

Apache Junction questions

Asked out here a lot

Do you really come out to Apache Junction?

Yes. I'm based in Chandler and I make the drive out to Apache Junction myself for every inspection and estimate, free. It's a longer drive than a Chandler job, and it doesn't change the offer one bit: I walk the roof personally and give you a straight answer.

What kinds of roofs do you work on in Apache Junction?

All of them, because Apache Junction has all of them. Established neighborhoods from the 1970s through the 90s wear tile, shingle, and flat or foam sections, often on the same street, and the newer builds are mostly concrete tile. I read each roof by its era and material instead of pitching one fix for everything.

How much does roof work cost in Apache Junction?

Most repairs run $500 to $3,500. Replacements are bid individually, free, and depend on size, material and underlayment choice. Many tile roofs only need the underlayment replaced, which costs far less than a full new roof. See the Arizona cost guide for real ranges, and the drive out never adds a dime to the bid.

Is the roof inspection really free?

Yes. I show up personally, walk the roof, and talk you through what I find, with no cost and no sales pressure. Sometimes the honest answer is that the roof is fine.

Are you licensed and insured?

Licensed, bonded and insured, Arizona ROC #325377. Verify it yourself on the Arizona Registrar of Contractors site. I encourage it.

We also serve Gold Canyon, Mesa, Queen Creek, Gilbert and Chandler.
